TOTAL AV VIEWING
TV dominates the new video world. Its scale, reach and impact are
unrivalled. Despite the changes we are seeing in the pattern of
viewing as a new ways of watching become more established, the
fundamentals remain: we watch most of our TV live on a TV set
and it reaches almost everyone every week.
Measuring viewing beyond the TV set is a challenge but we
conduct surveys with IPSOS MRBI to track how viewing is
changing with these new formats available to us. We’ve already
seen that TV viewing on a TV set has increased over the last
decade, but added to that we are viewing more and more other
AV content, so our total viewing time continues to expand.
